My Family

Well Rosie was born into a great family if i do say so myself. She has an AWESOME older brother Adler who loves to teach all kinds of goofy stuff. Thanks to Adler she has touched a worm and a fish tried to eat a frog seen grasshoppers and moths oh and this was all in one day!! Her big bro is making sure she isn't afraid of anything. He pushes her high in her swing and is "helping" her learn to walk. Thank goodness she has a big bro that loves her so much!
Crazy Kiddo
Well, instead of trying to catch up on the last 7 1/2 mos I will attempt to keep up to date from now on and fill you in on the funny stuff she has done up until now periodically. Well the little pumpkin has decide she LOVES to be mobile scooting, crawling and WALKING around. Grant it she only walks along the furniture or anything else she can hang on to (read Ruger the dog), but none the less she is walking. She is also trying to eat big people food. She really like Chicken from the Gyro Palace, pickles and cantaloupe. I am not sure what we are going to do with our little old lady in a kid's suit but I am sure it will be an interesting encounter.

"What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"

That Billy Shakespeare had some great lines....Anyway back to the topic at hand why is Rosie, well Rosie??? It's a very simple explanation, it's because she is a girl. If she were a boy she would have been Aiden Patrick, but she is a she and she is Rosie Mae. Now, how did Ryan and I come up with that lovely name? It was actually very simple and we agreed rather quickly on it.
Why Rosie Mae is Rosie Mae:
1. My G-ma Shirley always called me Rosie
2. Because Rose is my middle name (And Aunt Eileen's)
3. Because my G-ma Patrick's name was Rose (same reason)
4. My Mom's middle name is Mae
5. Ryan's Mom's middle name is Mae
6. There are a number of women on all sides of the family who have either the name Rose (1st or middle) and the middle name of Mae and I am glad our little Rosie has a connection to all of them.

1st Post

Ok so I thought this would be a great idea and swore I would start this blog when little Rosie was born....silly me. So as Rosebud approaches 8 mos. I figured I should get my butt in gear and start this project.
So I guess I will start from the beginning Little Rosis Mae was born Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 5:43pm weighing in at 7lbs 12oz with a height(length) of 20 1/2 in. I arrive at the Stallis Palace (West Allis Memorial Hospital) at 9:00am all ready for my induction, after a great Monday Night Football party (the Packer's lost). Things were progressing well and the contractions were contracting. Dr. Schaufelberger broke my water and then I got some not so nice contractions. I requested the epideral and the grooviest anestesiologist arrived and I was good to go. Well I didn't like the drugs so much and got sick to my stomach so I decide it would be best to take a nap. So I fell asleep around 12:30'ish and the nice nurse woke me up around 4:45pm to inform me that it was time to have a baby. I recall explaining to her that I changed my mind and wasn't sure that I could be a mom, she kindly reminded me that it was probably too late for that and told me to push. I pushed twice and Rosie was in position and the nurse told me to just relax and wait for Dr. S to arrive. I reminded her that I didn't think I could be a mom and she politely held my hand and said "it'll be OK."Alright I guess she should know she's a mom. So Dr. S arrived about 10 min. after 5:00pm and the party began. After about 5 big pushes Rosie arrived. Not so bad after all.
Rosie was born on my mom's birthday so they are forever Birthday Buddies!!! Sorry I didn't get you a card mom, hope you forgive me.
